At the Sardiello Lab,
I was part of the team that revealed the function and mechanism of CLN8, the disease-linked gene for NCL type 8.
Our work was published in 2018 in Nature Cell Biology.
There is plenty of work to be done in the field of NCLs. We have more projects in the works regarding NCL type 6 and SCAR7, hopefully coming soon!
